MY STORY

Hi, I’m Rachel – welcome!

Over the last decade I've developed a passion for design which I've applied to my own businesses and the several start-ups I've been involved in.  I love to take people’s visions and work with them for it to become a reality.

Who am I?  Well, I was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia on my own at 19 years of age where I immersed myself in corporate life. At 27, I headed off and travelled the globe on my own for almost a year.

After my travels I returned to Australia. I discovered that the corporate world no longer appealed to me. I decided to study Remedial Massage. I realised that not only did I love it, but I was soon helping my clients achieve much-needed relief from their injuries.

When I was 30,  I moved to Singapore with my husband, where our eldest child was born. We returned to Australia for several years, had two more children, then relocated to South Korea for 3 years.

Even though I'd been creating websites for a number of years, for both my own Remedial Massage business & for friends, it was in Korea that I started doing more design work in volunteer roles which opened a whole new chapter for me.

In 2016, our family of 5 moved to Penang, Malaysia. Then in early 2020 we relocated to Houston, Texas in the United States.

How I Work

As I mentioned when discussing websites, content is 90% of the battle and I actually haven't written the majority of this section yet...

I'm thinking people will want to know the process, how we communicate, how we keep track of everything, file types and pricing. I'll hopefully get to this in the next few days and keep adding to it as people ask questions.  Feel free to connect and ask away!

Something I do have at my fingertips is the boards I use with clients.  Think of it like a digital noticeboard. Each card contains different information, checklists and attachments.  We can '@' each other to ask questions keeping all information in a central location.
